College has been something I’ve been thinking about for as long as I can remember. The day that I would been on my own; creating a future for myself. I’ve spent numerous hours researching different locations and majors but this past weekend was my first time being to a campus. I visited Texas Christian University; home of the horned frogs. TCU is a private Christian university in Fort Worth, Texas established in 1873. From the moment I arrived, I loved the atmosphere and the environment of the college. My friend Anna gave me a tour around the campus and informed me of all the amazing things TCU has to offer. As I walked around, I saw that it had recently been updated and is growing larger. The first place I got to see was the Greek village. It contained homes for 13 sororities including Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Omicron Pi, Chi Omega, Delta Delta Delta, Delta Gamma, Gamma Phi Beta, Kappa Alpha Theta, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Phi Mu, Pi Beta Phi, Sigma Kappa and Zeta Tau Alpha. I then proceeded to follow her to the athletic facility. Being into both soccer and staying fit, I loved the layout of the facility and all of the training rooms and workout classes it had especially the track that wrapped around the top of the building. Another element the school had was the business program that gave students the ability to design, implement and manage information technology, data, and organization-wide systems, and the skills to manage, analyze and develop applications dealing with business of the future. I admired the religious aspect the school had as well and I look forward to visiting more colleges within the next year!

Not only did I get the opportunity to visit a college on my trip, but I also attended my cousins wedding. It was beautifully southern and took place at The Barn at Paradise Plantation. It was quaint and special with perfect weather of sunny skies and a light breeze. It was so nice to see my family and I hope to see them again soon.
